“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we ‘give’ … are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.”

Halloween - Trunk or Treat

This year The Bug was a frog for Halloween. I really need to move on from green costumes...last year he was a little red/green dragon.

Since Halloween was on Sunday this year, our ward with the Sterling ward had the annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday night. This year they had a chili cook off before the trunk or treating began. It was actually pretty good...if only I was feeling a little better. The morning sickness is still refusing to completely subside...along with insomnia, I'm having a great time! :)

The Bug however, loved going trunk or treating. Except for the guy next to our car dressed as a gorilla. He was NOT a big fan of him. The pic where I'm holding him on my hip and laughing is b/c of his reaction to the gorilla. It was pretty funny.

I also took a couple of pics of the Hansen and Swanson kids. Love Logan in his dragon costume mowing down on a sucker...too cute!

Shayne unfortunately was feeling a little sick, so didn't have much chili, and offered to hang out in the car and hand out treats while I took The Bug around.

Next year though, we should have two little monsters to take Trunk or Treating! Yeah!!
