“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we ‘give’ … are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.”

Chillin' with the kitties - June 29th

We left the cabin early Tuesday morning, the 29th. When we got back to Grammy & Papa Pond's house, The Bug was pleasantly surprised to find they had baby kitties there. He LOVED them!! He was all about holding them until they started to scratch in their panic at being "loved" by The Bug. You can see him signing "cat" and while we were there, he started calling them, "meeow me's". I guess b/c he was told they go meow...but really I have no idea, and yet he still calls them that. It's pretty funny.

He also discovered the basketball hoop and cement pad his dad and Auntie Tayler were playing on. He promptly made it through the fence (with a little assistance) and through the little field to play with dad. They would have been there longer, except The Bug threw the ball and it landed in a nice pile of cow crap, then stepped in it to get the ball. I thought it was funny, but Shayne wasn't nearly as amused as he had to use the hose to clean he and The Bug off. :)

The top two pics are of a small little critter that made an appearance at the cabin just before we left. We aren't exactly sure what it was...a weasel or martin of some sort. Whatever he was, I'm sure he's a pest, but he's a pretty dang cute pest. :)
