“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we ‘give’ … are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.”

Alternative Halloween

So before I get into the "project" that is our Hawaii trip, I had to post Halloween pics. These pics were taken on Wednesday the 28th. We were invited by the Alternative High School, where I used to teach, to come out and "trick-or-treat" with a preschool that was going to be there as well. So, I decided to get Addi, our friend Hansen's little girl, and take she and Lachlan out for lunch at the high school and trick-or-treating.

It was so fun! Addi was a Unicorn, and was the cutest little girl there. Seriously, everyone kept commenting on what a beautiful little girl she was. It helped that she was the only little girl in the whole group, but still...she is a very pretty little girl! She and Lachlan were a little shy at first, but they both warmed up to everyone after a bit.

The second pic shows typical Addi and Lachlan. He had found a yellow ball of yarn he was convinced was a real ball. It started to unwind so Addi decided she'd better take it from him before it was a complete mess. You can see the result. Lachlan was not happy with Addi...and Addi was annoyed with Lachlan. Needless to say we took the ball of yarn and made it disappear. :)

The last pic shows you what a cute little dinosaur can make a bunch of alternative high school students do. :) Seriously, most of those kids are so great. They love little kids. You should have seen them all as we went from classroom to classroom trick-or-treating. They loved it as much as the preschoolers did!

I miss those students, so it was fun to take Lachlan and Addi back to see them...and the treats weren't so bad either! Thanks Kenai Alternative High School for the invited! Can't wait for next year!
