“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we ‘give’ … are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.”

New Moon

Yup...I did it. I went with a group of women to New Moon. We went on Saturday November 21st, so it wasn't as bad as opening night...right?!

Darcy, Becky, Angela, and I all met up at the theater to get good seats. Let me clarify...I got there an hour early to wait in line for a good seat. And good seats we got...I was second in line. I must admit it was completely entertaining watching all the many girls and women who were also in line.

I also must admit I just laughed throughout the movie. Yes, it was good...not as good as the books, but...so cheesy. And, I could NOT believe I was one of "those" women who actually waited in line to get a seat and was there watching the movie. So, I just laughed...mostly at myself.

The pic with myself included needs some explaining. The reason you can see my wisdom teeth in the massive smile I've put on my face is this: At the point we wanted to get the pic, there was only a couple of prepubescent girls sitting in front of us. So, I asked one of them to take the pic. She could not figure out how to push the button down half-way to focus and then push it the rest of the way to take the pic. She had tried 2-3 times before she finally got this pic. I was just getting ready to take the camera from her and show her how to take it when all of the sudden the camera went off. I was laughing b/c of the whole situation. So...not the best pic of me...but the other girls looked great!

So...while I never thought I would have been in line opening weekend to watch this...it was good company and b/c of that, it was a good time.

We should do another girls-night-out soon!!

Hey I did that too but I went to a midnight showing on opening night!!! Ya I was thinking I was pretty crazy! This movie was SOOO much better then the first don't you think? I do it for the girls night out, it was fun because our home town podunk theater decided to show it that night.....they made BANK! The line was like a mile long!! I was good though I had an in and bought my ticket early so I did not have to wait in line!

You do realize that if a group of MEN were caught screaming like little kids at a 17 year old girl they would be carted of to jail and their lives would be over. But for women its just funny. How does that work?
