“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we ‘give’ … are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.”

Goodbye Great G & G Gerth

On Thursday, July 2nd, Great Grandma & Grandpa Gerth flew out of Kenai. These are a few pics of them with Lachlan and then with Shayne. We are so glad they were able to come up and visit us. We loved having them here. Lachlan has now met all of 7 of his Great Grandparents. As you can see, Lachlan warmed up to them, it didn't take him long. I wish I would have taken some pics of Great Grandma on the floor playing with Lachlan, b/c she was there a lot of the time. They are wonderful grandparents and can't wait for them to come back and visit.

The bottom two pics are of the plane they flew into Anchorage on. Grandpa is a pilot and owns his own Apache airplane in California. He was pretty excited to fly in this one, and in fact, in the second pic you can see him talking to their pilot asking to sit next to him for the flight. The pilot was totally ok with it, so Grandpa flew right seat next to the pilot with headphones on, all the way to Anchorage. When I say, "all the way," it's only about a 23 minute flight, but still...pretty cool!

Anyway...this is the last of the pics from the visit with G&G Gerth...we love you guys! Can't wait to see you again!!!
