So, this is Joe Malatesta...Lachlan's Italian Godfather. Joe is one of Shayne's basketball boys, he's coached him since he was a freshman, and he's going to be a Senior this year. He lives up the road from us and loves to stop by and just hang out and talk to Shayne. We told him we don't do the whole godfather thing...but he insisted. What can you do? Notice the road rash on his arm? Ya...4-wheeler accident. Anyway, he stopped for a bit on Saturday, June 27th, before we headed to Homer with Grandma & Grandpa Gerth.
Do you know what Grandpa was doing while we were chatting with Joe?! Yup...mowing our yard. It had been mowed about 10 days earlier by our previous guest, Dennis. Ya, we don't mow our lawn...we just let our guests do it! :) Grandpa insisted that he needed something to do, so he got out the lawnmower. He mowed the entire thing, and then some! He actually mowed it twice during the week he stayed with us! Thanks Grandpa for mowing our lawn!!
Good thing we have guests huh?
