“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we ‘give’ … are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.”

The Truck Tent

I had to get a pic of our truck tent. Instead of camping on the ground in a tent, we opted for a truck tent to provide a little more security from bears, and warmth from the cold ground. It worked like a charm! The air mattress made especially for the bed of trucks was awesome as well! Seriously...the best!! If you've ever camped and had to sleep on the ground you know what I'm talking about. :)

These pics are after our little hike to the Brushkana river, in the Brushkana camp ground. We had to hang out in the tent while at our campsite b/c of the mosquitoes. This is Shayne spending some time with Lach in the tent...can you see his little legs poking up?! Too funny. It was pretty warm in the tent so he was stripped down to a onsie. The lighting in the pics looks funny b/c there were some major fires burning in the Interior that was creating a pretty substantial haze. They weren't close to us, so we didn't have to worry about anything but the haze...thankfully.

Anyway...we loved the truck tent. Worked beautifully for us...and is considerably cheaper than a camper or trailer. Which is always a good thing!
